SuG Disbands After Hiatus

SuG has announced the official disbandment, following the band's hiatus.

On December 20th, the band announced their decision to disband via the official website. Despite discussing the possibilities to return as a band, the members decided against it.

"What we have to say has already been said when we announced our indefinite hiatus and at our last live at Budokan. We would like to thank all of our fans and everyone concerned for their support over the past 10 years," the announcement said.

"We sincerely apologize for the sudden announcement that our activities will not be restarting. We hope that you will support the 5 people [of SuG] as they begin their own activities and face new challenges," the band's announcement said.

The band went on a hiatus back in September of this year. Although the band took a break, it was still not disbanded.

However, the band's vocalist Takeru strongly believed the hiatus would be permanent. During a release event in August for his book, "VISION LIFE STYLE BOOK", he was quoted saying the band members have already accomplished everything they want with the band.

SuG was formed in 2006 and began releasing music via PS Company in 2007. The band has previously gone on hiatus, back in 2012/2013.
