Red Velvet Releases New Album for Group Comeback

Red Velvet drops a new mini-album and single titled "Russian Roulette" today.

The release comes after the previous week's teasing by the group's agency, SM Entertainment. The individual images of the members were unveiled via both Instagram and Vyrl (SM's own social networking app).

"Russian Roulette" is described as a pop song, filled with bubbly synth-pop. The members haven't been idle, despite the group not releasing an album since 2015's "The Red".

Irene recently concluded her hosting job for KBS's "Music Bank". Joy on the other hand was active in dramas and won the "2015 MBC Entertainment Awards" for Best Couple with Yook Sung-jae from male act BtoB. The two starred in the hit show, "We Got Married".

Red Velvet's first performance of the new song will be held on September 8th, via Mnet's "M Countdown".
