Johnny & Associates Releasing Official Statement Regarding SMAP's Disbandment

Johnny & Associates have released an official statement regarding SMAP's disbandment. 



On January 12th, the group's 58-year old manager handed in her resignation as director of J Dream, Inc., a subsidiary company of Johnny's & Associates, inc., which goes into effect next month. 

Reports claim Masahiro Nakai, Goro Inagaki,Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and Shingo Katori are going to leave the company, with Takuya Kimura being the only one remaining.

On January 13th, Johnny & Associates stated the following: 

"Recently, there was a report regarding some SMAP members' leaving and their manager's resignation from a directors position. It is true that we are having consultation and negotiations about the matter, however, we cannot answer any detailed inquires yet."
